Is holistic hemp and CBD organic?
We start with plants that are already successful. Plants are started with Tissue culture. Tissue culture ensures that the plant traits are secured through disease and virus explants, cultured and grown in controlled environments. Most outdoor growers start with “clones” or cuttings of a mother plant. However, after only a few cuttings the plant naturally modifies to account for external variables also known as genetic drift. Knowing that our plants derive as a duplicate without the genetic drift, the plant and outcome is 100% duplicated.
Our plants, grown in a controlled environment are grown in a compost base which is a byproduct of the organic waste from previous cultivation cycles. Compost houses beneficial living organisms that protect the plant and provide an increased uptake in available natural nutrients. This alone improves the flavors and taste as an end result.
Two main methods of extraction include ethanol and CO2. With ethanol the plant is mixed with alcohol and the ethanol is evaporated. Although less expensive traces of solvent is evident in the and product. Our brand focus is small batch high quality. This includes using CO2 under high pressure to push oils from the plant leaving no residual solvent for a clean and more flavorful product.
